Josiah Allen, PharmD

For nearly 15 years, Josiah has been a leader in the field of personalized medicine.  Josiah has led multiple scientific efforts including clinical research, product development, and clinical adoption and implementation for top-tier organizations. He is an author of over a dozen peer-reviewed publications in pharmacogenomics and has lectured extensively on clinical applications of pharmacogenomics to audiences of researchers, clinicians, and patients.  

 

Josiah began his career working in the Mayo Clinic Department of Psychiatry & Psychology. As one of the first members of Assurex Health, Josiah led scientific product development, clinical trial design, and medical information teams - helping to catapult Assurex's GeneSight test to become one of the fastest growing diagnostic tests in history.  After, he led medical affairs teams, clinical trial strategy, and reimbursement strategy as the director of medical affairs at OneOme, a pharmacogenomics company.  Currently, Josiah works as the pharmacogenomics pharmacist at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in greater Cincinnati, leading pharmacogenomics implementation for the health system.

 

Josiah's received his bachelor's degree from Wheaton College (IL) and completed his doctor of pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota.  He is a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), The American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP), the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC), and the Pharmacogenomics Research Network (PGRN).
